The Abu Dhabi Irish Society is pleased to announce details of the 2010 St Patrick’s Day Ball. This is one of the social highlights of the year in Abu Dhabi and this year we promise to continue this great tradition. This year’s event includes a sumptuous 5-course meal with unlimited beverages. Entertainment for the evening is provided by The Marvels who will fly out from Ireland specially for the occasion. There will also be a performance by the Abu Dhabi Irish Children’s Dancing Troupe and their teacher.
If your luck is in, you will also have the chance to win some great prizes at our raffle. It’s going to be an evening to remember and we’d love to see all our members there.

This box office is for members of The Irish Society and the GAA club. Each member is entitled to one ticket and you must come in person to pay for it on the night. If demand is high, tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. If you want to attend the ball but have not renewed your membership then you can do so at the box office. Family membership is 200Dhs and single is 125Dhs.

This weekend (February 12-13) sees the annual Gulf Gaelic Games weekend in Dubai. It’s two days of action on and off the pitch, with competitions in Men´s Football, Ladies Football, Hurling, Camogie, Social Football, Veterans Football & Juvenile Football. Each competition will be 7-a-side (except for the Veterans and Juvenile sections). Abu Dhabi Na Fianna will be sending a large delegation, and would welcome your support in what should be a great weekend of sport and craic.

The inaugural GOAL Mile Walk was held on Christmas Day, December 25, 2009 at Zayed Sports City.
